Kappa Sigma Educational Fund Scholarship

Please complete the below application. This scholarship is given to Freshmen and Sophomores at MST. Membership in Kappa Sigma is required.

Preference is given to students who meet any one of the following qualifications, financial need, an ACT of 28 or above, or a student who was in the top 20% of their high school class or had a first semester GPA of 3.5 or above.

Kappa Sigma is the largest college social fraternity in the world with more than 200,000 members, including 17,000 undergraduates at more than 300 chapters and colonies located throughout the United States and Canada.

The Beta Chi Chapter of Kappa Sigma at Missouri S&T has again won the prestigious FACE award in 2021. FACE is the Founders Award for Chapter Excellence and is the national benchmark award in Kappa Sigma recognizing the very best undergraduate chapters.  Members are focused on academics, philanthropy, community involvement, fitness, and   building leadership characteristics.

Our 96 man, 26,000 sq ft home sets on 2 acres at the entrance to the university. Being recently remodeled our chapter house is one of the nicest facilities on campus, with a computer room, dedicated study room, sand volleyball court, a soccer field, weight room, pool table, and basketball court. It is one of the very few houses on campus that offers accommodations with private bathrooms and living rooms. We have the largest rooms on campus.

Alumni of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity provide the funding for these scholarships and others. In 2021, Kappa Sigma alumni provided $25,000 of scholarships at MST.

To qualify for a Scholarship, you must be a freshman or sophomore attending the Missouri University of Science and Technology.  Applicants must be a member of Kappa Sigma.

To apply for the 2023-2024 school year, submit your completed application no later than Nov 1 for the fall semester and February 15 for the spring semester.
