Welcome to the Beta-Chi Chapter of Kappa Sigma!

Join Beta-Chi for October Fest

Saturday, October 10

It’s that time of the year again, and as fall draws near, so does our annual philanthropy event which will be held on October 10! Each year we invite parents, guests, and the Rolla community to take part in an event and raffle to raise money for our national charity, The Military Heroes Campaign.

The Military Heroes Campaign honors and aids thousands of military veterans throughout the United States. The campaign has donated nearly $500,000 to non-profit organizations who advocate on behalf of servicemen and women wounded in combat.

This year’s theme is Oktoberfest, and we would be delighted if our family and friends could come support our charity, and see how our new members are adjusting to their time at Kappa Sigma.

The Beta-Chi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma fraternity has a proud history at S&T since 1903. We have a newly renovated/expanded 26,000 square foot facility that house 96 members plus another 25 members that live around campus. The facility sets on 2-acres of prime real-estate at the entrance to the university. The house includes conference rooms, fully staffed kitchen, computer room, weight room, and a soccer field. We provide three room options including rooms that have private bathrooms and living rooms. Our rooms are the largest on campus. Academics, leadership, fellowship and service are the most important aspects of our chapter. Our average GPA is consistently higher than students not in Greek housing. Our members are on the executive committee of every major campus organization. The chapter consistently places top or next to the top in campus wide competitions. We provide award winning community service. We make friendships that last a lifetime. And most importantly we do all of this while having fun.

"Leadership skills are vital. As a member of the board for Generation Tech one of the things we value the most is leadership skills and critical thinking skills, and that is something that we have found most lacking in graduates today. I believe Kappa Sigma teaches those necessary skills."

Letter from
House Corp. President

Greetings from Missouri University of Science and Technology (effective January 1, 2008), formerly known as the University of Missouri - Rolla, formerly known as Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy!

Thanks to you and many others, Beta-Chi’s membership is top-tier on campus. The chapter has won numerous awards both locally and nationally. With your support we have been able to pay down our housing debt, keep current with maintenance, and even make improvements. We also have been able to raise scholarship dollars, send out newsletters, host Homecoming, maintain our website and alumni directory, and send out e-news a few times during the year.

Please remember, without you, we cannot succeed!
